With reference to your secret despatch of

the 4th July, I have the honour to enclose a copy of

a minute from the Chief Staff Officer showing that

there is an ample supply of Reserve ammunition here.

It is therefore unnecessary, I presume, that this

Colony should purchase an additional reserve

for the use of the Volounteers.
